Terms of Service

General

By entering into an Esports Arena tournament, paying for use of any Esports Arena equipment, or using an Esports Arena facility, you are agreeing to our terms of service. If age 18 or under, please review the terms of service with a parent or guardian.

Conditions of Use.

Esports Arena League Service

League participants are paying to compete in a single league tournament, and have access to “designated equipment” (defined as equipment available for the purposes of the tournament) in working condition at the “designated time” (defined as the time league participants are allotted to use the equipment for the purposes of the tournament).

Equipment

Esports Arena staff can inform you of what equipment will be available for you at the time of your arrival, which may include a few of the following equipment items: PC, keyboard, mouse, mousepad, headset, controller, Nintendo Switch, PS4, or Xbox One. League participants are mandated to discontinue use of equipment when it is required for other participants in the tournament, which will be determined by the Esports Arena staff.

League participants are responsible for any damage to the equipment during use. Please ensure that your equipment is in working condition prior to use in the tournament.

You may encounter unforeseen circumstances where equipment stops working. Your patience is required while Esports Arena staff troubleshoot or find replacement equipment. Participants are free to ask for a refund if the equipment does not meet their satisfaction, but this must be done during the tournament, not after participation. For example, a league participant that decides to play through any issues, and then after losing their match decides that they want a refund on the basis of their equipment, will not be eligible for a refund. Please notify staff of any equipment issues as soon as they occur. League participants may use their own equipment at their own risk. Esports Arena is not liable for loss or damage to any equipment brought into Esports Arena by league participants.

Participation in a league tournament

There is no guarantee of the number of games, or the length of games a league participant will be able to play in. Circumstances often arise where Esports Arena staff are required to make adjustments. Staff will do their best to make fair decisions, but a disagreement with the staff is not a valid reason for a refund.

Payouts

There is no guaranteed timeframe for payouts or any other prize distribution. The Esports Arena staff will do their best to distribute prizes, but there can be unforeseen circumstances that slow down the process.

Cash payouts are done via Matcherino.com. League participants are required to have a Matcherino account.

Payouts will go to the winner’s Matcherino “wallet.” This can be cashed out via Paypal (with a Paypal fee) or via check.

Participants must be at least 13 years old to receive a payout. Participants under the age of 13 will receive free hours, store credit, or swag prizes that are available. These prizes vary on location and event, so please check with the Esports Arena staff for what is available.

Season-end Rewards

Season-end rewards are distributed at the discretion of Esports Arena, or any third party that is involved. Season-end rewards are subject to change, as well as the criteria for the rewards, and timeframe that rewards are distributed, especially when a third party is involved. Players will not be permitted a refund at the end of the season for their previous entries on the basis of dissatisfaction with season-end rewards. Participants are only paying for participation in a given nightly tournament.
